Silmadi is a logic puzzle app where matches serve as clues and answers are settled by deduction. It has no accounts, and your progress and statistics live on your device. Third parties process information for three purposes: anonymous usage statistics, ads, and in-app purchases. If you connect Google Play Games, Google also processes information to run that service. This policy explains each, item by item.
1. What we collect
The Silmadi app itself does not collect personal data that identifies you — no name, email address, phone number, or address. There is no sign-up and no Silmadi account to log in to.
There are, however, an app-generated random install identifier, your device's model name, install source information, and behavioral events (section 3), an advertising identifier and device information processed by Google AdMob (section 4), purchase information processed by Google Play (section 5), and, if you connect it, achievements, scores, and a copy of your records processed by Google Play Games (section 6). Each purpose and scope is explained in its own section below.
2. Data stored on your device
Your puzzle progress and statistics are stored in a local database (SQLite) on your device. Unless you connect Play Games, they stay only on the device; if you do, a copy of your records is also kept in your Google Account (section 6). Whether you own "Play without ads" is also stored only in a local document on your device — no payment method or account information is stored. Your device holds the authoritative copy; Neul Studio cannot access it.
You manage this data yourself. Clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes it from the device. See section 8 for backups.
Silmadi schedules three kinds of local notifications on your device as reminders to come back and play. Scheduling and display both happen on the device; there is no push token, and nothing is sent off the device. You can turn these notifications off in Android settings.
3. Anonymous usage statistics (PostHog, EU region)
Silmadi sends an app-generated install identifier (a random UUID), your device's model name, install source information, and behavioral events — such as screens, tutorial steps, and puzzle progress — to PostHog (EU region). The model name is the one set by the manufacturer (for example, SM-F966N), and it is attached to each event so we can respond to store reviews. The device name you can change in your phone's settings is not sent. No name, email, location, or advertising identifier is included either. Install source information is the campaign source, medium and name carried by the install link — only values from a predefined list are collected; anything else is recorded as "other".
Turning this off in Settings › Analytics stops sending immediately. In the EEA/UK, we send only if you allowed it on the consent screen. Retention is one year.
To request deletion, send the install identifier (the first 8 characters of the diagnostics export file name in Settings) to the email address in the Contact section below.
4. Ads (Google AdMob)
Silmadi uses Google AdMob to show interstitial and rewarded ads. For this, Google processes the advertising identifier and device information. The device information includes an approximate location estimated from the IP address, diagnostic information, and app interaction information.
Buying "Play without ads" (a one-time purchase) removes ads. On a device with the purchase, the app does not start the ads SDK, so ad requests and ad processing stop. The consent status check (Google UMP), which determines whether your region requires consent, continues after the purchase. In the EEA/UK, a consent screen appears on first launch, and you can change your choice anytime in Settings › Privacy choices. Google's processing follows the Google Privacy Policy.
Residents of certain US states can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for personalized advertising. To opt out, choose "Don't sell or share my data" in Settings › Privacy choices (this screen is available in English only). Ads will still appear, but they may be less personalized. This item appears in Settings only in regions where such a choice applies (the EEA, the UK, and the relevant US states).
This choice applies to Google's ad processing. The anonymous usage statistics in section 3 are not sold or shared, and you turn them off separately in Settings › Analytics. For other questions about your data, use the Contact section below.
5. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The "Play without ads" purchase is handled by Google Play Billing. Silmadi stores only whether you own it, on your device — it stores no payment or account information.
The app prepares billing every time it starts, and in doing so the Google Play Billing library may send diagnostic information to Google. This happens whether or not you have made a purchase.
6. Google Play Games (optional)
If you turn on Play Games in Settings, Silmadi uses Google Play Games Services. Until you turn it on, the app makes no requests to Play Games. Once connected, Google records your achievements and leaderboard scores on your Play Games profile (gamer tag and avatar) and keeps a copy of your best record for each puzzle and your daily records in your Google Account as a saved game. That copy lets you carry your records to another device with "Merge with cloud copy" in Settings. Google also collects analytics and diagnostic information to run the service.
Silmadi does not receive the name or email address of your Google Account, and the app shows only your gamer tag. To tell connected accounts apart, it keeps a one-way hash of your Play Games player ID on your device, and that value never leaves the device. The anonymous usage statistics in section 3 contain no Play Games information.
Turning the connection off stops uploads. You can delete the copy of your records with "Delete cloud copy" in Settings, and the records on your device stay as they are. Depending on your Play Games profile visibility, other players may see your achievements and leaderboard scores. Google manages your achievements, scores, and Play Games profile; you can change who sees them or delete them in your Play Games profile or your Google Account. Google's processing follows the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Diagnostics export (manual)
Silmadi's Settings include a "Diagnostics export" feature. This is separate from the automatic statistics described in section 3, and it runs only when you start it. It packages the local analytics database on your device (puzzle progress and event records; no personally identifiable information) into a file named silmadi-analytics-*.db and opens the Android share sheet. Where the file goes is your choice.
The app never sends this file on its own, and nothing reaches Neul Studio automatically.
8. Device backup
If Android device backup (backup to your Google Account) is turned on, Silmadi's app data may be backed up. This is an operating-system feature provided by Android, and it follows your device settings, where you can turn it off or manage it.
9. International transfer
The statistics servers in section 3 are in the EU (PostHog Cloud EU). The ad processing in section 4, the purchase processing in section 5, and the Play Games processing in section 6 take place on servers operated by Google.
10. Children
Silmadi is not directed at children. It is made for a general audience.
